Rowanbank House is the perfect retreat and an ideal location for those looking to explore the surrounding areas of Annan in Dumfries and Galloway.
You can discover the history of Annan from Robert the Bruce, Rabbie Burns and Thomas Carlyle to the natural beauty of the River Annan and the Solway Firth.
We offer a comfortable bed and stay at an affordable price, with a homely atmosphere that is unique and quirky with a relaxing guest lounge. Although we don’t offer breakfast we can advise on local cafe and restaurants close by. We welcome travellers, walkers, cyclists, fishermen and golfers alike, as well as families.
Rowanbank House is a late 1880 Victorian House in a prime location, a short walk to Annan Railway Station 2 mins and Annan High Street.
What we offer
We offer 8 rooms, which consist of five double bedrooms, two family rooms, one twin and one single room. All of our rooms have an en-suite bathroom which consists of a toilet and a shower. Each room also offers a flat screen T.V, Wifi access and Tea and Coffee making facilities.
Check in times are between 3.30p.m. and 9.00p.m. If you wish to occupy your rooms earlier, please inform us of your requirements and also your estimated time of arrival when booking.

We have 3 large family rooms and can accommodate up to 5 (or 6 with travel cot) in one room (no bunk beds).
Sorry, We Do not provide breakfast with the stay at Rowanbank house, but can provide a list of local cafe and restaurants that do.

By Road
Take the Annan turning off the A75 (approx 16 miles from Dumfries and 16 miles from Carlisle).
Follow signs to Annan.
When you reach the High Street turn south at the traffic lights into Bank street
This road leads into St. Johns Road. We are just about 100 yards down on the left hand side, on the corner next to the academy. There are 4 lime trees in the front garden.
By Train
Get off at the Annan station and head directly towards St. John’s Road. If you’ve arrived from the South you’ll have to cross over the railway bridge.
But if you’ve come from the North just exit the station and walk up the street.
We’re located about 2 minutes up the road just next to the Academy.
